I really love Autumn and I have quite a few Autumn treasures in my collection that really remind me of the lovely jewelled tones and acorns we start to see around this time of year, particularly a little vintage sterling silver acorn and amber glass Jelly belly owl. I have enjoyed already this year collecting up some of the autumnal goodies that have fallen off the trees to use in props with pictures of my charms - I particularly like the way the leaves contrast against the glint of the silver .
I also find a lot of inspiration in Autumn for the next vintage charms to start hunting out for my lovely customers, and its around this time of the year that you will start to notice for yourselves , quite a few sweet little vintage craft markets beginning to pop up ! We start to see the back of the car boot sales that fill up the summer Sundays, and now Im all about hunting out the best vintage stalls and interesting little markets that might have some forgotten jewels I can use to make charm necklaces .
Im based in Hertfordshire so usually there are a fair few of these dotted around, one in particular I have my eye on attending is the Letchworth Vintage and Crafts market I stumbled across on Instagram. Im not sure if this is a new market (?) but im looking forwards to visiting and having a look at some of the trinkets that are available. Another one which I still need to visit is the Hatfield House Antiques market, I imagine this is perfect for magpies like me and they also do a lovely Christmas market that is usually worth a look in too .
Do you have any Autumn markets you like to visit or any charms you have your eye on ? I have included a picture below of my charming faves for September and a few of the sweet props featured in the photo - If any catch your eye that arent yet listed in the charm shop just drop me an email to reserve.
Thanks so much for reading !
